october favorites: hot tea

I've never been a coffee person and believe that there's nothing more calming than a cup of hot tea on a chilly day. Here are some of my favorite places to get tea in NYC and favorite tea accessories. Enjoy!

Ground Support in Soho. Order the Cinnamon Chai! It's delicious. Also, it's a great place to sit and people watch or take a break from shopping.
Alice's Tea Cup is perfect for an afternoon brunch with the girls or for afternoon tea. There are multiple locations throughout the city. I frequent the one on East 64th - midway between my apartment and my friends who live in the UES. Their scones are beyond delicious. Have we discussed my obsession with scones yet?
Tea and Sympathy is a classic English tea room in the heart of Greenwich village. Come here for a scone with clotted cream or pop in to buy your favorite teas from across the pond. Find their online store here.

 Tea Kettles:
Le Creuset: Classic Whistling Kettle, $75Halo Kettle, $55
Williams-Sonoma: Glass Tea Cup and Saucer, $22; Glass Teapot, $59
Bodum: Sin Cha, $49.95; Assam, $34.95

What's your favorite fall drink? Are you a coffee or tea person?
